Plot — Bajrangi Bhaijaan
Shahida, a six-year-old mute girl from Pakistan, travels with her mother to India to visit the shrine of Nizamuddin Auliya in hopes that she may regain her speech. During the return journey, she accidentally gets separated from her mother and is left stranded in India.
She is found by Pawan Kumar Chaturvedi, a kind-hearted devotee of Lord Hanuman, who names her “Munni” and tries to help her reunite with her family. After discovering that she is from Pakistan, Pawan faces social and political challenges while attempting to send her back legally. When official channels fail, he decides to personally take her across the border.
Their journey into Pakistan is filled with obstacles, including arrests and misunderstandings, but they receive help from a Pakistani journalist named Chand Nawab, who documents their story. As their journey gains media attention, public support grows on both sides of the border.
Eventually, Munni is reunited with her family, while Pawan is detained by authorities. Massive public pressure leads to his release, and he returns to India as crowds gather at the border. In an emotional climax, Munni finally speaks her first words, calling out “Mama” to Pawan, marking a touching end to their journey.
