Marketing and Release
The film’s marketing included a teaser, promotional glimpses, stylized posters, and release date announcements. Some promotional content received criticism for suggestive dialogue.
Kiran Abbavaram also mentioned facing screen allocation issues for the film in Tamil Nadu. The director explained that “K” stands for Kumar, the protagonist, while “Ramp” represents his journey.
The film received an “A” certificate from the censor board due to sensitive childhood scenes, which the makers chose to retain instead of editing.
Reception
K-Ramp received mixed reviews from critics.
- The Times of India rated it 3/5, calling it a watchable romantic entertainer with humor and lively performances.
- OTTPlay gave 2/5, praising some comedy but criticizing the weak story and exaggerated presentation.
- India Today rated it 1/5, criticizing its humor and handling of emotional themes.
- The Hindu noted that the film’s comedy track provided occasional relief but felt the overall treatment was weak.
